Project Homeless Connect
In 2009, the Alaska Community Foundation contributed $3,500 for Project Homeless Connect, a one-day event to bring service providers, government agencies and the general community to people who are homeless in Anchorage.
ACF provided the money through donor advised and unrestricted funds.
Services included:

Hosted twice annually with the support hundreds of community volunteers, Project Homeless Connect has helped hundreds of homeless people in Southcentral Alaska. In the January 2011 event, 847 men, women and children received services, making it the largest turnout in the event's history.
