Grants & Community Projects
As an organization, our goal is to support projects of importance to our community that will help us all become better stewards of the land. We are continually listening and learning about what is important to you.
Currently, grantmaking supports organizations and programs that serve the needs of people in such areas as health, education, human services, arts and culture, youth and community development.
Please feel free to contact any member of the committee if you have a project you hope we’ll support.
Because we’re a relatively new foundation, we’re building our endowment and learning what’s important. We’ll use this page to keep you updated on the grants we’re making and projects we’re supporting as we move forward.
Current Grant Cycle Decisions Due in April
The Seward Community Foundation uses proceeds from its growing permanent endowment to award yearly grants to worthwhile programs in the Seward/Moose Pass area. These grants are intended to support organizations and programs in our community that serve the needs of people in such areas as health, education, human services, arts and culture, youth, and community development.
The application period closed March 1, but there will be others in the futures, so check back.
Award decisions will be made by April 12. The decisions are made by the entire SCF board of directors.
